At Life Easier, part of our mission is to keep as much of our clients’ clutter out of a landfill as possible and reuse it. Some, but not all, of the recycling companies and non profits we work with are listed below. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

Non-Profits Who Can Use Your Stuff

Julia’s Cafe and Books – Charlotte collects gently used books, comic books, and all media including records, VHS, DVD’s, and video games. Julia’s resells them in their coffee shop on Wendover Road and online via Amazon. Julia’s is a fundraising arm for Habitat for Humanity and all profits from Julia’s coffee shop and book sales go to support building affordable housing in Charlotte.

Dress for Success – Charlotte serves no and low income job ready female clients by providing complete interview outfits, including shoes and accessories, and a working wardrobe, up to five outfits, when she gets a job.” They are especially in need of purses (all types) along with plus sized clothing and shoes.

Men’s Shelter of Charlotte operates “two shelters, comprised of 410 beds. Our work begins through the basic needs of shelter, meals, showers, [clothing], laundry services, hygiene items, and supportive staff.”

Habitat for Humanity ReStore – Charlotte is a furniture store, a home goods store, and a home improvement store that sells gently used home items. Think lamps, dishes, furniture, rugs, artwork, countertops, cabinets, Christmas decorations and more. The funds are used to build affordable housing in Charlotte.
